ProfileGuidong Zhang (S'13-M'15) was born in Shantou, Guangdong, China, in 1986. He received the B.Sc. degree and two Ph.D. degrees from Xi'An University of Technology, South China University of Technology and University of Hagen in 2008, 2014 and 2015, respectively. From the end of 2015 to 2016, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at The University of Hong Kong. He has won the Endeavour Research Fellowship in Australia in 2017 and visited the University of Western Australia for half of a year. Since May 2016, he became an associate Professor with School of Automation, Guangdong University of Technology, Guangzhou. He focuses on the corresponding researches in power electronics and electric drives, and his research interests includehigh-performance converter design and control, impedance mechanism based converter, renewable energy generation and storage, and domestic micro-grid energy management. He has held many fundings like Natural Science Funding of China (NSFC), Natural Science Funding of Guangdong, and he had taken part in many projects like “Alexander von Humboldt Research Group Linkage”. He has won scientific awards, e.g., China Patent Excellent Awards (twice, 2012 and 2016),Second Prize of Guangdong Province Science and Technology Award, Second Prize of Science and Technology Invention of China Power Supply Society, and First prize of Dongguan Science and Technology Progress. He has published a Springer monograph and 60+ journal papers (SCI index more than 50). He has obtained 1 USA patent, more than 50 China patents and 52 China Utility patents. Personal Information
